This presentation will include an overview of common skin lesions in patients with skin of color, discuss safety pitfalls when treating patients with skin of color, and discuss post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and treatment options.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify various skin disease presentations in patients with skin of color, including common preesentations of dermatosis papulosis nigricans (DPN) and hyperpigmentation
  • Describe side effects of medications dealing with PIH
  • Identify safety issues with lasers, chemical peels
