The practice of pediatric dermatology is broad. This lecture will focus on identifying conditions that would be considered urgencies or emergencies in pediatric dermatology -- the 'what-not-to-miss' of pediatric dermatology. There will be an indepth discussion of infantile hemangiomas focused on when to worry and when to refer for treatment. Also highlighted will be physical exam findings that should alert a care provider to possible underlying medical conditions.
