Cosmetic Workshop

All nurses and staff working the field of Cosmetic Dermatology need basic knowledge of the procedures they perform and offer in their clinic. The level of knowledge necessary is dependent on their scope of practice and involvement in the procedures. This curriculum was developed for professionals who will be performing the procedures. This workshop will provide basic knowledge needed prior to doing injections of cosmetic products, review value added products and procedures for your practice, touch on new technologies and sort through the myths and the realities of cosmetic dermatology.

Learning Objectives:

  • Assess a face for cosmetic procedures and make a plan.
  • Describe the actions, uses, limitations, and contraindications of cosmetic products and procedures.
  • Recognize complications of cosmetic products/procedures and manage them.
  • Describe the different techniques used with different products.
