The Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Program Purpose: Discuss with other healthcare providers and patients the pathogenesis of HS and how treatment is aligned with this.

Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this educational program, the participant should be able to:

  • Recognize the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of hidradenitis suppurativa.
  • Describe the acute and chronic pharmacotherapeutic approaches to managing hidradenitis suppurativa with a comparison to procedural interventions. (20 minutes RX)
  • Explain current evidence-based research to the pathogenesis and management of hidradenitis suppurativa.
