As the largest international healthcare workforce, nurses must continue to step forward as global leaders in skin health and skin care. Nurses have the opportunity to advance their role in the delivery of dermatologic care, formulate and shape policy to promote skin health, and improve clinical skin care standards through education and research.
Recognize skin health as a significant global public health concern requiring nursing contributions.
Review the role of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association to initiate developments and organizations supporting nursing contribution to skin care worldwide.
Identify the common work of international dermatology nursing organizations across the world and encourage the international collaboration to advance evidence based practice focused on improving globally accessible dermatological nursing care.
