Description

Dermatology nurses will understand the efficacy and safety of national and international standards of AD care. They will also increase their knowledge of how to educate and work with patients with atopic dermatitis.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define atopic dermatitis and recognize it as part of the atopic triad
  • Summarize the skin barrier dysfunction and immunologic process involved in atopic dermatitis pathogenesis
  • Identify step-wise management of atopic dermatitis following international and national guidelines of care
  • Explore evolving therapies and their treatment role
